Diane Debrovner is a middle grade author who writes for anyone who’s ever felt different, left out, or unsure where they belong. Before turning to fiction, she spent many years as Deputy Editor at Parents Magazine, writing about child development, health, education, and books. Her debut novel, Roxie in Color, coauthored with Stacy Cervenka, was sparked by her article, “What Blind Parents Want You to See.” Diane lives in New York City with her family and a dog who loves watermelon.

ROXIE IN COLOR
Starting seventh grade in a new town, Roxie is determined to be known as more than just “the girl with blind parents.” That means keeping their blindness a secret—at least until kids get to know her. Including chapters told by her mom’s aging guide dog, it’s a heartfelt novel about wanting to blend in while still standing out.
